Who we are?
Little advertised but an awesome program for playing tennis during Michigan's colder months. The program is run by Ann Arbor Ski Club. There are three sessions: fall, winter, and spring. They last approximately 10, 10, and 8 weeks, respectively. The fall session starts in middle September, the winter session starts in January and the spring session - in March. The games are played at Chippewa Tennis Club.
The 2005 fall session ran from Sept 17/18 to November 19/20. The 2006 winter session runs from January 7/8 to March 11/12 and the 2006 spring session ran from March 18/19 to May 6/7.
In the summer, there weekly informal mixed/coed doubles games on Saturdays 10am-12pm at Huron High School courts in Ann Arbor (near Huron River Drive and Geddes Rd crossing) as well as on Sunday 4pm-dark at Ypsilanti High School courts near Packard and Hewitt crossing. See you there!

There are two groups: the Saturday group plays on Saturdays at 6pm and the Sunday group plays on Sunday at 6.00pm and 7.30pm. The play is doubles, the duration of one game is 1.5 hours.The players range from beginners or getting-back-into-it (NTRP 2.5) to advanced (NTRP 4.0). The Saturday group can be up to 24 players and plays mixed doubles and mixes the players so that everybody gets to play with everybody. The Sunday group is larger (up to 48 players) and players are assigned to the courts according to a skill-based ladder. The Sunday group has also started as mixed doubles, but recently switched to playing mixed-up (equal footing for both genders) doubles.
